My name is Brett Smith and I am self employed as a contractor for mechanical repairs and
fabrication work in this area.
My wife and I moved to Hyden in 2019 to be closer to family
and our intention is to retire here. We have 5 grandchildren attending the Hyden Primary
school of which I am currently the Chairperson of the School board.
I am a great believer in a strong community spirit and have always worked toward that belief, currently being a
member of DFES and a committee member of the Hyden Tennis club.
As a previous Carnarvon Shire councillor, I was a WALGA and Roads to Recovery and Regional Roads
Funding group representative. I therefore have a good understanding of council issues as I
served for 3 years before moving here.
