I have lived in Kondinin for past 30 years, having grown up on a farming property in Corrigin. I am married to Richard and together we operate a building and concrete business. We are the proud parents of three children: Brittany, Declan and Zali. All three children attended Kondinin Primary School before pursuing their high school and university education in Perth.
My professional background includes a long and rewarding career in education, followed by local government, and my current role as the Coordinator of the Kondinin Community Resource Centre, a position I have held since 2016. In addition to my professional commitments, I have been actively involved in the Kondinin community through various leadership roles. I currently serve as the Chairperson of the Kondinin School Board and as President of the Kondinin Lions Club. I am also a volunteer of the Kondinin Community Garden and was the founder of the Kondinin Kreative Town Team. In 2023 I became a Justice of the Peace.
As a long-term resident of the Shire, I have developed a strong relationship within the community and am trusted by many. As a Shire Councillor, it is my responsibility to represent the diverse interests of the entire community. It is vital that I listen and understand the varying perspectives of the three distinct communities in the Shire of Kondinin.
My campaign motto, “I will be a voice, not an echo,” represents a guiding principle that I strive to embody in all aspects of my role of a councillor. This ethos inspires me to actively contribute my ideas, advocate for positive change, and ensure that I am making a meaningful difference rather than simply following others. By upholding this motto, I am committed to offering genuine leadership and thoughtful representation within the Shire of Kondinin.
